Plan Coverage
Accident & Illness covers your pet for… you guessed it, accidents and illnesses! You get to choose: $7,500 or $15,000 in annual coverage amount, your co-pay percentage, and one of three deductible options which are dependent on the age of your pet.
If you choose the lesser amount of coverage and are willing to pay more in the event of a claim (higher co-pay percentage and deductible), you will get a lower monthly premium.
If you’re willing to pay a higher monthly premium, you’ll get more coverage and pay less in the event of a claim!
Co-pay (or co-insurance) is where you, the policy holder, assumes a percentage of the risk. With Accident & Illness Insurance you get to choose if you want to co-pay 10%, 20%, or 30% of the care costs and taxes in the event of a claim.
*Please note that the amount you’ll co-pay when you file a claim is separate from your annual deductible.
Pets Plus Us uses an age based annual deductible system:

• Conditions that arise within the 48-hour waiting period for accidents and 14-day waiting period for illnesses
*To be eligible for coverage, your pet is required to have had a complete physical exam performed by a licensed veterinarian within 12 months of the coverage inception date. If this has not been done, we then require a complete physical exam to be completed within 30 days of your policy inception.
