Pets Plus Us' plans are based off of an annual deductible–this means you will only pay your deductible once per policy year regardless of how many claims you make. If you don’t make a claim in a policy year, you do not have to pay your deducible for that year.
Pets Plus Us will never cancel your coverage or increase your premium due to your pets age or claims history. Your premium will only increase when the cost of veterinary care increases.

With Pets Plus Us, there are no breed exclusions. Even health conditions that are associated with a breed are covered if the condition isn’t pre-existing for your pet.
To make understanding pet insurance easy to understand we have broken down Pets Plus Us’ process into six easy steps below:
Select your coverage plan! If you have any questions or want one of our brokers to give you a hand selecting the proper coverage for your pet and budget, we are just a message or phone call away.
Once you have been approved for your selected plan, there is a waiting period before you can make a claim. For illnesses, the waiting period is 14 days; for accidents, it is 48 hours! Any conditions that arise before or during the waiting periods are not covered by your plan.
Pay your monthly premium.
In the event of a claim, bring your pet to a licensed Canadian or American (USA) veterinarian of your choice for care (care must be administered in Canada or the USA). Once care is complete, pay your bills and get your vet to fill out your claim form.
Submit your claim forms and copies of your receipts to Pets Plus Us' claims centre. Your claim will be processed in a timely manner.
Once your claim has been processed and approved for coverage, you will be reimbursed for 70%-90% of your bills (depends on which plan you’re covered by) less your deductible to a maximum of your selected coverage limit.
